Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board has commenced a project “Establishment of Pakistan Digital City at Haripur” which is initially planned over an area of 86K-9M of land at Batrasi near Khanpur Interchange, Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will be scaled up in future. The Pakistan Digital City will host the ICT companies including some of the biggest names in the ICT industry. The aim of establishing the Digital City is to facilitate IT industry, promote business of the ICT and software companies, encourage innovations and entrepreneurship and to capitalize on the immense job creation potential of ICTs.

Objectives
  • To enable a digital hub built around the core concept of clustering the various players of the ICT industry for promoting and jumpstarting growth in the digital economy.
  • To launch it as a Special Technology Zone (STZ) and offer an incentive framework to create the necessary pull factor for local and foreign enterprises.
